School Director Up To No Good Again!!

DST Talent Academy School Director, Dave Tunik, just can’t seem to stay out of trouble.  He has just wrapped filming an episode of “Southern Fried Stings” for Turner Broadcasting, playing “Sam”, a man who regularly visits a nursing home in order to steal the medicine of the elderly residents…including his own dad…in order to sell them on the street!  When confronted, Dave gets physically abusive with Jay, stabs England in the thigh with a syringe loaded with a dangerous drug, and then leads Tank on a wild chase, culminating in a unique battle and takedown.  Keep your eyes out for the episode, “Restless Home”, on TruTV!!

Powerhouse High Fashion Model Chooses Private Instruction Option

We are very proud to announce that powerhouse high fashion model, Ayah, has contracted DST Talent Academy to help her make the transition from a successful modeling career to a successful acting career!   Due to a hectic shooting schedule, Ayah has chosen to set-up private instruction sessions with School Director/Head Instructor, Dave Tunik.  Ayah trained briefly with Dave in 2009, but was in such high demand as a model that she was forced to put her classes on hold while she took advantage of some amazing modeling opportunities.  Ayah is thrilled to be back working with Dave again, and knows first-hand that the instense training and industry knowledge Dave is known for will allow her to make her dreams of a successful, long-term acting career a reality!   On behalf of all of us at DST:  Welcome, Ayah!  We’re thrilled you’re training with us, and know you will conquer the world of acting just as easily as you conquered modeling!

School Director Can’t Escape the Undead!

DST Talent Academy School Director, Dave Tunik, spent half of May shooting a terrifying new zombie horror film, “Epidemic: Z”, for local North Carolina director, Robert Schwartz.   The amazing make-up fx for this film are the creations of Hollywood master special effects guru, Starr Jones, who has worked on such blockbusters as Oscar-winner James Cameron’s, “The Abyss”,  two different Star Trek TV series (Next Generation and Deep Space Nine), the SNL comedy, “The Coneheads”,  and “Night of the Living Dead 3D”, just to name a few.  The first cut of the film is almost completed, and then it will spend the next year traveling the film festival circuit, gaining publicity and building momentum.  The official New York premiere of the film is currently scheduled for the end of 2010!  Keep your eyes peeled for nationwide distribution after that!!
